Life is a journey, not a destination !

 

After leaving Victoria, came back to Japan. And my life is restart as a Japanese.

Luckily, Im working at Twitter as a Client Account Assistant right now. I never work IT industry, who could guess it so far.

I really don’t know and never understand why did they hire me from number of candidates.

But this is my life, meandaring life which l can say quite like now although used to say hate it !!

I’ve been having plenty of experience and changing since 20years old. I mean during 7 years.

Used to work as a nutritionist, went to UK due to study English, worked as a Engineer Clark and PJ Assistant of Russian PJ and Algeria PJ at Gas & Oil company with using English a lot. Went to Canada to take nutrition & health course. Eventualy, working at Twitter now.

 

Im in charge of pretty foremost position.  For now’s me is super heavy, but I hope I will be feel proud of my job in the future😊 I will do the best 🤓

Think rich, look poor

Last week (from 29th of May to 1st of Jun 2017), I studied about sugar and milk. The first I’m writing about sugar, and after that about milk a bit which I knew.

Sugar is one of the world’s oldest ingredients and the only teste humans are born craving it. I was suprised just human can taste sugar, in other words, animals can’t feel sugar… Poor my cat,Baron… Additionaly, in spite of sugar has toxic liver effects, worldwide, people consume 500 extra calories a day from sugar which is roughly the amount of caroties needed to gain a pound a week.

Moreover, sugar is addictive. To add insult to injury, we are in taking prenty of suagr from juice, cerials …etc… without knowing everyday.  I personally feel we should try to think or find more specific source of nutrients when people have a problem their body or have disease, such a sugar for instance.

There is a possibility that the source of our problem with body might be simple although looks complicated. Upon studying nutrients deeply by myself, I can see the similar conclusion even right now as well. But this is just in my opinion.

With respect to Milk, which is seems good for us, in terms of nutrients, however as a matter fact, milk has a plenty of sugar itself which like lactose etc… I’ve got strong impression that about milk, especially about raw milk, you can buy easily in around Europe countries whease not so common in Japan I think, as if we drink raw milk, will be diarrhea also seems that difficult digestrion. I’m curious about the fact the situation in Japan, so I wil try searching it.

I saw a TED, the speaker was James Oliver. Once I’d lived in UK, I’ve been becoming fun of him because when I said my occupation then, the person who I met in UK, definitely they reccomended to me to know about him. That’ why I watched TED a lot of times which James Oliver was speaking.

However, this time, when I watched his TED, I’ve got differnt impression which compared I was in UK. I suppose that as I’m studying nutrition&health right now or could be my point of view has changed by various experience so far. Anyway I learnt a lot of things about fact of sugar and milk last week.

There is more to life than increasing its speed

 

In  this week’s project was recording the meals for 2 days.( from 23rd of May to 25th of May 2017) Acutually, recording diet was used to popular 4 or 5 years ago in Japan for a while.

Why was it ‘ for a while?’

During recorded my meals, acutually, I think I was a bit care about eating food, because I will know how much I’ m eating every time when wrote down.

I suppose that it was one of the reason for didin’t eat snacks very much. Then I knew in a sense of fact, for this reaseon, Recording diet was make sense to success lose weight. However, to write down every time are quite bother things, if it was long term, I might have gradually been lazy. Thus, personally feel , it was popular just for a while. On the other hand, this is pretty good as feedback on our eating habits sometimes.

This is not related to recording project, but I was curious about chocolate. As before starting project, just I changed the chocolate from general one to gluten free & Vegan one. Normally when I eat chocolate,I’m unstopable, whereas gluten free & Vegan one’s case was just small piece of chocolate made me satisfied. Perhaps it was by chance, and I’m not sure what is the cause of it, but apparently, this is new my curious thing. I would like to go on a research about it.

 

Also we went to Michele’s Farm on Wedneseday. The farm is huge, beautiful and there are sort of veggies, fruits and cow. The part of the farms, especially apple trees, raspberries…etc are really seaside. Seaside’s windy including salt from the sea. Moreover he said, also in terms of water, is the same. So it’s means definitely there’s fuits and veggies are sweet and juicy ! Someday, I’d like to buy !

Everyday is New Day

 

This week, I’ve learning micronutrients such as Vitamin A,B,C, etc… I dont just like Vitamins and Minerals, I loved them when I studied because they have a lot of power although they are really tiny. Especially, they are pretty sensitive, as in spite of the samee nutrient they have differnt effect for us. It might be too deep, for instance, pumpkin’s Vitamin B1 and broccoli’s Vitamin B1 work differently in our bodies.(*It’s just for example, not exactly) That’ why I  didnt just like studying and researching it, I loved it !

 

Vitamins are, I would say, quite secial nutrients, because we can not make by ourselves but definitely we need it. If you take a lot. it will be become toxic for you, whereas if you are lacking it, you will be sick.

 

Vitamin has 2 types : fat soluble and water soluble. Fat soluble Vitamins include Vitamin A,D,E and K found in nuts, avocados etc. In terms of water soluble, are particularly well known B1,B2,B12 and C, however acutually there are more.

Fat soluble means body can store. On the other hand, water soluble can not store, moreover you can not make Vitamin in your body, which is why eating foods which include Vitamin is important.

You can take them from suppleent also, but I do not recommend this to you. The reason why is not all of supplement, but in fact they are including chemicals also sometimes difficult to adjust to take. I am afraid of taking too much Vitamin from supplement, because if you lacking of some Vitamin, just try to take them from food, whereas if you take it too much, then it will be become toxin, it’s really hard to get over to health.

 

I prefer ti take Vitamins naturally, in other words, from food is the best way. I know sometimes really difficult additionally, depends on Vitamins. In a sense, supplements might be helpful if you use them in the right way.

 

I personally think Vitamins have infinite possibilities. Don’t you agree with me ?

 

So Many Men,So Many Minds

 

Last week, I did a survey with my partner about emotions on the topic was “Anger” because we were curious to know  “How pepole get over anger ?”

We made 5 questions which are the following and asked 10 different nationalities ( Female and Male , age was between 20 – 50 ) in the school.

-When have you gotten mad these days ?

-Why did you get angry ? what happend?

-When you were get angry, how did you act? What did you say / do?

-Why did you responed this way?

-How do you calm down?

The reason why we chose this topic for our survey is that I supposed we would get a variety of answer ( the way to calm down) from each country. I thought national character would come out because when I watch movies, they show me a wide range of anger which depends on country and apparently. I personally guess it is quite interesting as making someone happy is easier than  making someone angry and there is no big difference between cultures to make happy. Additionally, I thought we could compare which nationalty is the most short temper and calm.

However, the results of our survey were a bit unexpected for me because the answers were similler. Most of the answers to ” Why ?”  were  with unexpected small things and could’nt get any special way of calm down. One of the reason was we just did surevey with 1 person for each country, moreover it was confined to the students in the school. Anyway the information was not enough.  On the other hand, I would say students in our school tend to have calm characters! Even if they just did’nt ( want ) to say private examples, I believe that they are pacifists. hahaha

In fact, from their answers, we knew when people ( in our school)  get angry, the reason is they can not do anything themselves, so they try to manage anger in different way that such as relaxation or have communication with someone are common things.

While writing this blog, I realised the most big problem was I misunderstood the meaning of “Mad”. I have been thinking “Mad”is like”Outraged” because in UK,mad’s meaning is something uncontrol feeling and has much stronger meaning than angry, which is why I have got a big differences between the result and what I expected.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Change before you have to

 

On Wednesday, it was 26th of Apr 2017, I did a presentation for my Language Nutrition & Health Class on South Beach Diet. I searched this topic on Monday and Tuesday online. I learned South Beach is forcuses on the “Glycemic Impact” which you can change in your blood glucouse just a month.                                                                                               The beginning 2 weeks, you can lose up to 13 pounds and you will not get hungry!because made up of satisfying proteins, veggies, low fat daily, and good  unsaturated fats that quite amazing advantage I think, as in general, when you are on a diet, definitely you are going to have a limit to eat something, then you will be feel stressful won’t you? On the other hand, you cannot eat fruits and any coarbs during 2 weeks that might be makes you lack of Vitamin & Minerals. Also the South Beach diet is thinking exercise is unimportant.

When I was presenting, I was pretty ralaxing. I’ve already got used to do something like presentation or speech because when I was a student, the school made me do it really a lot of times in front of plenty of people.

I learned that we have a lot of types of diet in fact, for instance, in terms of kind of law diet were presented by 4 of us, however, the purpose and the way was different. So it’s mean, if you’d like to go on a diet, you have to decide obviously what the priority is,then should choose the best way to go on a diet carefully.

-Low carbs diet is almost similar to South Beach Diet, but which is focuses also digestion

-Paleo Diet is you can eat the food which from earth. This is also kind of low carbs diet but the difference is that Paleo Diet thinking low carbs is not good for brain.

-Mediterranean is thinking meat less is good, this is the traditional healthy living habits. The most important thing is “Enjoy Eating” I love it!

With respect to Vegetarian,  there is a lot of types of Diet which was quite interesting. Vegetarian is really depends on a person, how much strict.

To search diet was interesting because Canada has various of diet which we do not have in JAPAN or not popular yet. So I could know some new diet this time.

I personally felt the naming of ‘South Beach Diet’ is pretty attract name and have not known that moreover wondered ‘ Why it is not North?’ haha                                                   If you know about it, please let me know !  Anyway, I prefer not go on a diet less eat ( I mean, going to lack some nutrient is not good way) even just the beggining 2 weeks. So I do not want to recommend South Beach Diet when I think about your body as a nutritionist ( because I am a nutritionist) but if you do not have enough time and in a harry, South Beach Diet might be good for you!

One for all, all for one

It is incumbent on organic farmers to not harm nature and not add any articul chemicals which are unnecessary. They are helping nature and make good use of it. They are making and protecting nature with nature. I think I’ve got in a ture meaning of “environmentalist” by visiting the Halibuton Organic Farms.

The first thing which I noticed was the pipe of warm water, I could’nt find any tap around there, which is why I wondered ‘ Where dose the water come from?’ Elmarie who is one of the former of  Halibuton Organic Farms told us ‘It come from article wetland and to uses solar panels to heat’ so they are using natural water to grow up the plant in the green.

At Halibuton Organic Farms nature is coexisting to help each other. For instance, composthing system which uses raw trash is going back nature and it will be composted. Moreover there are (e.g : snakes and bees), the bees bringing pollen. In addtion, there are some native Canadian Flowers.

Those of things are creating real nature. I’ve been learnig “The organic” is not only good for our body, also kind for article environment and earth. Despite beginning of starting farm is always difficult, additionally, they need to adjust the nature to be te best condition for everything. Furthermore, there is a food chain in the farm and they are duing local production for local consumption.

“Organic” has various effects and influences for us. We are protecting nature by farming organic and vice versa. My image of organic has changed widely.

You may not always be happy,but you can always give happiness

I met an old lady who was a stranger in the train just 3 days before coming to Victoria. All of sudden, she said me ” How attractive your smile is ! You make me happy ! ” However, I was’nt happy then, I was exhausted every day because I was stuck in a job which was crazy busy. After a weekend or if I took a day off, I received over 300 mails which is why now I’m living completely different life.

I go to the school by foot ever day and go back also. Despite seeing the same view ever day,I feel it is different every moment. When I see and feel the rays of sunlight shine through the branches of the tree, it makes me happy. Furthermore, I see the flowers are going to bloom gradually also. These really small things make me happy even after just 2 weeks.

When I was in Japan, I did’nt have space to feel them cause I was busy. I think my heart was unhealthy. I would say I’m staying here 3 months, and during this time, I think my heart will get healthy by experiencing nuture. I can regain my real smile and I hope it will be more attractive one with my heart. In my view, health is not only physical: perhaps heart health is more important than physical health. So I really felt how much my heart is exhausted as a fact.
